Keep Moving...

I work in a building that was constructed many, many years ago. At the time it was constructed, everything in the building was new including the four elevators. Well as of today, only two of the elevators operate somewhat correctly and one of those two can be a little “iffy”. Well, I noticed something: Some people intentionally won’t ride the “iffy” elevator out of fear that it may stop working while they are riding on it. So they opt to not to ride that particular elevator and wait for the other more reliable one. That got me to thinking, ummm…what elevation might we be missing out on because the conditions seem less than favorable—you know, the circumstances are a little “iffy”?
See, I’m realizing that sometimes those very “iffy” –uncertain--conditions are what’s needed to strengthen us in areas that are so weak that they will hinder us from achieving our divine dreams and inspired aspirations. No, it’s not as simple as jumping on the “iffy” elevator but it doesn’t have to be as complex as we tend to make it either. I think sometimes the thought of getting stuck on the “iffy” ride, stifles our ability to move forward in any condition or direction. We begin to look for perfect settings, circumstances and/or conditions in which to move forward but I have a secret: there are no such conditions. There will always be some risks involved when we move forward.
