Why Do Sisters Matter?
by B.C. Raines on 11/29/16
Sisters, we matter because...
We have purpose.
- We nurture.
- We invent.
- We solve problems.
- We develop plans.
- We promote peace.
- We carry life.
We are beautiful.
- We are to be adored.
- We are to be adorned.
- We are to be loved.
- We are to be protected.
- We are to be respected.
- We are to be admired.
We expect to matter to our boys and men. But do we really expect it from women beings, (my commonly used phrase for girls and women) our sisters? Even more, do we give it to and/or encourage it from each other? It starts with us, you know.

I Told You So
by B.C. Raines on 11/15/16
I told you so…Sister U Matter!®
Every 2016 Presidential election analysis I’ve read states that it was primarily the woman’s vote that created the shock of the world. Regardless of how we may feel about the outcome of the election, it is empowering, to me as woman, to know that it was the woman’s vote that ultimately elected the soon to be 45th President of the United States.
Now, do you believe me? Sister U Matter!®
Sisters, once we embrace the magnitude of our influence and our authority, our opportunities are limitless. We can change the direction of our lives, our homes, our careers, our communities, our states and as we have already witnessed-- our country.
So, what change is next on our agenda?

It's Fall Season
by B.C. Raines on 11/01/16
I’m so excited. Fall is in the air. I really forward to the Fall season. The leaves are full of vibrant autumn colors; some leaves are even falling from the limbs making room for the new growth to come in the Spring. The festivals. The food. There’s a crispness is in the air. The Fall's cool breeze is so welcomed and refreshing.
It’s Fall season in our lives too, you know. The Fall Season for…
Despair Unforgiveness Self-doubt Hate
Malice Pride Anger Depression
Bitterness Self-pity Arrogance Covetousness
Unbelief Jealousy Sadness
Yes, it’s time for these distinctively defeating deficiencies to go—to fall away, to fall off of us. They have hindered us far too long; their season is up!!! It’s Fall Season!
During this Fall season, what will be falling from your life? I’d love to hear all about it. Write about it in the Comment section. Happy Fall!

Going Through
by B.C. Raines on 10/26/16
Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.” -Booker T. Washington
If you know me personally or have read The Founder page of the Sister U Matter! website, you know/understand that I am pretty open and very honest. Well in all honesty, I am going through a really rough and trying time in my life right now. My life feels as if it is being turned upside down and then flipped only to be turned upside down all over again. Most of the areas of my life are being affected all at once and it just does not feel good; it’s uncomfortable and in some areas, it is just downright ugly.
But guess what? I’m going through. I gain strength by reminding myself that I am going through. These troubles are not permanent. I gain clarity by focusing on the fact that I am simply going through. These trials will not last forever. These situations have to change. You see, I’m learning that to go through something means there is a beginning and an ending. It starts and it stops. By the very nature of the process, it has to come to an end.
I want to encourage you today, you are only going through. It will be over soon. Yes, I know this uncomfortable. Yes, I know it seems unbearable and even unfair sometimes. This is temporary. Compared to the totality of your life, this is just a very small period of time. I hear you saying, “That’s easy for you to say, you don’t know what I’m going through”. My response: You are exactly right. I don’t know what you are going through but I do know this one thing…You-Are-Going-Through.!.!.!
