“I” In The Middle

When “I” am the focus, there is usually chaos, confusion and disappointment. Have you noticed that a lot of self-centered words have the letter “I” in the center of the word? Words like pride, sin, grief and pain.
I want to challenge you to take the focus off of you, the “I”. This life shouldn’t be all about you…it should be about you serving others, being good to others, looking out for others, etc. Just think, if we all adopted the serving others mindset, there would be nobody looking out for themselves. Everybody would be looking out for the other person which ultimately means a whole lot of people would be looking out for you.
Ummm, I’m just thinking…Would the crime rate would decrease? Would the divorce rate decrease? Would cruelty to others diminish greatly? Would relationships flourish? Would our hungry neighbors have food to eat? Could we truly celebrate each other's successes? Would there be more trust within our communities, states and even among the nations?
Wow, that sounds like an awesome place to live. So what part are you playing to help develop this awesome place? Is your “I” in middle? If so, is that best position for it? Is that the best position for you?
Remember…Sister U Matter!
